Im thinking about changing my hair color. My hair is pretty perfect S curly not course but somewhat nappy (i've relaxed my hair) and i know dying curly hair is tricky. So im wondering what is the best brand to dye my type of hair, that lasts the longest?

I actually do use boxed dye as my hair stylist said that as long as I'm careful with them, they should be just fine for my hair. A benefit of using a boxed color is then you don't need to combine any chemicals which could lead to ending up with a color that you didn't actually want. Keep in mind, however, that even boxed colors end up differently on different colored hair. Start a couple shades lighter than you think you want. I like the Nice N' Easy haircolor because they have the root touch up and the moisturizing conditioner that you put in your hair each week. Plus it doesn't seem to fade like some of the Revlon products do.
Also, just a little tip for when you dye your hair...apply some aloe vera or other hair gel on your skin along the hair line so that the dye doesn't stain your skin. When you are done dying your hair, just rinse off the gel with a washcloth or paper towel and your skin will be dye-free!

I always use dyes from Sallys..never the boxed kind. L'Oreal has really fantastic colors, and they're long lasting (if you use the permanent level 3s!) Just go to a local Sally's Beauty Supply and ask them for help, your hair will look awesome :)
