Hair Dye? NEED HELP NOW!?

On the instructions of my hair dye it says 'do not use on children'. Does it mean young children about 10 or below? I am 12 almost thirteen. Am I counted as a child for the hair dye?

Ask your parent(s) for advice...you also shouldn't use permanent dye on hair at that age, you will have to grow it out completely. Use a temporary dye (if you must dye your hair) and do a strand test 24 hours before dying your hair. I used various colour hair dyes at a young age without doing strand tests and ended up with something completely different than what was on the box.

I also ended up going grey at 17 and wished I hadn't started dying my hair when I was 12 since I have to do it all the time now...but I know me telling you that won't make you change your mind, just please don't use the permanent dye and try to get help from a parent rather than doing it yourself or having a friend do it, no matter how experienced that friend may be.

You should be ok - however, you ought to do a skin test first - in the crook of your arm, just pop a tiny bit of each lotion in the bottle. You should be fine as long as you have parental supervision. and make sure to read through ALL of the directions carefully even if you have dyed your hair before.

There should be an 800 number for the company, call them.

It probably means it just hasn't been studied and tested for use on people under 18, and things like that have to be tested and approved by the government before they can be sold per the Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act, so it's more likely a legal thing. But call them.

You should be okay to use it, but I'd test a small strand of hair before you do your whole head. Better to be safe than sorry, just in case if you have a reaction to it!!

i did it at that age but got someone to do it .. if your ok do a skin test u dont want to itch and have a reaction!!

iv had bolnde highlights since i was 11 and it has always been fine, but because u are so young i would do a strand test on a small piece of hair and a skin test on your wrist just to be safe.
