Hair dye bleeding?

i recently dyed my hair pure black (l'oreal feria) for prep as i am getting my hair partially blue in afew weeks. however the dye has been "bleeding" every time i rinse my hair. i did everything the directions said and i didn't shampoo or condition it (except with what came in the box) for three days.

the color isn't fading at all, but it's becoming a pain because i can't use any towels or else my mom will throw a fit. i've dyed my hair several times this year, and someone suggested that that may be why it won't hold the dye, but i haven't dyed my hair for a while (maybe a month %26amp; a half), so i don't know why it would do this.

it's never given me trouble before, even with a shorter time period between dye jobs, except for the one other time when i did it fuschia. any suggestions? thanks!!!

PS my friend pulled out a *gigantic* chunk of hair which is now noticeable unless i cover it. it's never come out like this before, so could this be a result of dye even if i used no ammonia?

Hair dye bleeding?

oh wow, well um... go to a hairdresser! and ask them for some extra advice. how long ago did you dye it? because i just dyed my hair a blackish color too and it is still running a little. it is running because it is wet. stay away from the towels and let it air dry. try a different product. next time you dye your hair you might want to a professional (no offense lol) get revenge on your friend!! muaahahahaa. lol well how hard did your friend pull your hair out? that matters. it's just hair it'll grow back unless you're like 50 or something. try a shampoo that will make the dye last longer, that might help it not run. best of luck to ya mate =) omg and you dyed your hair fushia!!! hah! that's awsome

Hair dye bleeding?

its normal i think

because its a dark color

it will bleed more

Hair dye bleeding?

I personally dont like feria. It does bleed and changes color over time on my hair. You may have not rinsed your hair well enough after the coloring. Ok hair chunks are a reaction to the coloring dont use this manufacture again. It does tell you that you need to do a allergy test prior to using each time.

Hair dye bleeding?

Well first I must say that I use to use Garnier Fructis and it started to make my hair fall out in chunks so that might be why. I switched to Pantene Pro-V for extremely damaged hair and it works wonders for me. I think that your hair is not holding color because you've colored it way too many times, it might bleed for a while and fade later on but there really is nothing you can do about it right now. I think you should give your hair a break before adding any more color, if you add blue now it will just wash out most likely.

HAIR DYE ADVICE PLEASe?

FULL STORY:

I had my hair professionally dyed reddish brown in August. The color washed out a bit, I did it myself using a golden brown. Which again faded %26amp; in November, I believe I dyed it an ash brown. This was the last time I dyed it.

The color has faded considerably into a reddish light brown which is not flattering on me. I hate the color but abstained from using dye to reducing damage since I've dyed my hair so much. It also has a green tint which can be seen in bright light, I assume because hair is porous due to dye.

SHORT STORY: My hair is now a reddish light brown that I hate. It has an odd green tint to it due to the fact that my hair is porous (b/c of damage). The last time I dyed it was around Nov.

THE PROBLEM:

Should I go to the salon and get highlights and/or lowlights?

OR should I do it myself. If so, I was planning on using Clairol's new Perfect 10 hair color that claims to reduce damage.

I want to go lighter to blonde.

Ask questions, I'll answer right away. :]

HAIR DYE ADVICE PLEASe?

i would stray from the box and bite your tongue and get it colored by a professional. you need a deep conditioning and a colorist who can bring life and real color back to your hair. i did the box thing before and it dried my hair out so bad and the color was never exact.

HAIR DYE ADVICE PLEASe?

If you want reddish, why not try henna? Unlike dye, henna is actually *good* for your hair.

HAIR DYE ADVICE PLEASe?

What you shuold do first before ANYTHING is go to the salon and get a conditioning treatment .. It will reduce damage by like 50 - 57 % !!!

Then get whatever you want done at the salon and ask some tips on how to get it not to fade as much

Black hair dye and purple hair dye?

Ok, so I dyed my hair black about a month ago, and I also wanted to put pink in my hair, so I bleached portions of my hair to put the beyond the zone rasberry kamikaze hair dye in it and it came out ok although some bleached parts came out lighter than others, but I worked with it, now, I let the rasberry kamikaze wash out of my hair but it did not fully wash out and then I put the purple passion beyond the zone hair dye on the bleached parts of my hair because I wanted to change up to purple, now im getting tired of the bleach parts of my hair and what I would really like to do with it is dye it all black and give it a purple tint on top of the black. What is the best way for me to go about this? If I put black hair dye on top of the bleach parts? is it going to take? and if I put the purple passion on top of the black is it going to give it a purple tint??

Black hair dye and purple hair dye?

i've used purple passion on top of my hair which is soft black and it was cool...but for only a couple days because it doesn't last long at all and you can only notice it if you're out in the sun. i was pretty disappointed..i've been trying to find a plum hair dye for yearssss... =o[

Black hair dye and purple hair dye?

It'll take the black hair dye, you might still have a purpley reddish tinge but you'll only be able to see that in the sunlight.

Personally, I think black is a dull colour and suits very little people. It makes people look washed out and unhealthy unless they have naturally dark hair and olive skin. You should opt for dark brown instead when your hair fades.

Black hair dye and purple hair dye?

Maybe you should get some advice from a hair stylist or something and let them know whats brands you used on you hair. They would probably have a good idea of what you can do.

Black hair dye and purple hair dye?

nothing will happen. manic panic will not lift your black hair color. in order for the manic panic to deposit on your hair, you must bleach the parts you want colored first.

I wouldn't reccomend using manic panic anyway, it works like crap when you do it at home

Hair dye???????/?

i dyed my hair burgundy yesterday and i am wondering how to remove the dye from my hair wihout washing it because i got a perm with it too and i dont want to ruin the perm

Hair dye???????/?

There isnt a way. And washing it will only fade it, not remove it. Red is very hard to get out.

Hair dye???????/?

no way really because thats dark besides washing it. try dying it another color.

Hair dye???????/?

If I were you I would wait it out for a two or three weeks, because drastic changes like that usually take a while to get used to. By then if you dont like it lighten it up with some highlights.

Hair dye???????/?

I feel bad, but there is no way to get it out without washing it. I'm curious why you dyed it a color that you don't like, but never mind that. You should just dye it another color. I would recommend going and having a hair dresser do it, but if you can't then i would say get the boxed dye, and go with the Nutrisse brand. it has fruit oils in it that help your hair. Also, don't stray to far from burgendy at first. If you try to dye it platinum blonde, it won't work out well. Try going a few shades lighter or darker. Maybe try a brown. good luck!

Hair dye???????/?

Never perm and color at the same time!!! that can ruin your hair! I don't think you want your hair to break or fall out, do you? If you do this again, wait at least a week between services. As for the color, there is color removers you can buy at the drugstore, but I wouldn't trust them. If you don't know what you are doing, you could really hurt your hair. I'd have to agree, all you can do is wait for it to fade or again, wait a week between services and do a different color, but remember it is harder to go lighter after you have gone dark. longer process and harder on your hair. I'd really resort to professional help if I were you.

Hair dye - PLEASE HELP!!?

So my hair is a medium brown color and I want to dye it black so I bought some black hair dye (Palette Schwarzkopf permanent black 1-0). I last dyed my hair dark brown in November but all the dye is pretty much faded out now as my roots don't even grow out in a different colour. If I dye my hair with the black dye, is there any chance of it coming out completely weird looking? My friend told me that you should never dye your hair with black dye because it looks completely different than the box, like more blue-ish. Is this true??? If I dye my hair with the black dye would it actually be black? PLEASE HELP!

Hair dye - PLEASE HELP!!?

I went from Dark Brown to black and i swear i love it, yeah at first it will look really black, but then the color is just beautiful.

ur friend dosent know what she is talking about !!! Black hair looks so much healthier, especially if you get a hair cut.. i recommend it!!!

i use to dye my hair all the time, Blonde, brown, red , blond with highlites and blah blah blah, but ive had black hair for about 2 years and sooooooooo many people compliment !!

check out my myspace to see

Hair dye - PLEASE HELP!!?

if you bought pitch black, it will be black not blue. it will look fine but there is a con to it. black will not come out easy. you wont be able to dye your hair a bright color for like a year unless you keep dying it over and over again. i highly regret dying mine black.

Hair dye - PLEASE HELP!!?

If Your Natural Color Is Medium Brown And You Haven't LIGHTENED It Within The Last 3 Months, It Should Take The Black Dye Very Well. As For It Being Blue, I Think That Would Be Blue-Black. If The Package Doesn't Say That, It Should Be A Nice NEUTRAL Black Shade.

Good-Luck!!

Hair dye - PLEASE HELP!!?

not true

as you can see if my pic my hair is black

trust me black will turn out black

it your hair it light just leave it in for a while

black is like the eaisest color to die

trust me i die my hair a lot

actually black is impossible to get out of your hair.

But seriously black will show up black a promise just leave it in a while because when my hair was light i had to leave it in a while like 50 min black takes good to hair.

Hair dye - PLEASE HELP!!?

I know your already bought the dye, but my advice for dying hair darker like you are thinking of doing is trying a simi-permanent first. ESP. since you you to go black. I have had great success with Natural Instincts number 36 Midnight neutral black, simi-permanent dye.

Because it is simi-permanent it will wash out and fade over time, but for the first time going black I think it is a good idea. Mostly because it is a pain and a half to dye over black or lighten black by yourself.

With the simi-permanent it won't look bad as it fades and your roots wont be as noticeable as with a hardcore black. Plus! There is no blue in this color! I have it on my head right now and it is def. not blue.

p.s. it also comes off your skin easier!

Hair dye...........????

i had my hair dyed burgundy professional with foils(Thursday evening ), i got a shower Friday night n all my dye came out, why would that happened??? maybe because of my hair type, the type of dye used????????

Hair dye...........????

You need to call the person who did your hair! That should have not happened and you should be refunded immediately!

Hair dye...........????

I guess it was just cheap dye and they scammed you. Don't go there again, you got ripped off, it ain't cheap to get your hair dyed professionally, just go to Walgreen's and DIY or go to a different salon. Sorry. : )

Hair dye...........????

that would happen if your "professional" used a rinse instead of a dye. It also depends on how much came out. Some reds will bleed the first few washings.

Hair dye...........????

because u didnt let the dye settle in u have to wait more than 2hrs

Hair dye...........????

What type of conditioner are you using? Maybe you should go back to have it re-done (for free) and ask them what could have caused this.

Hair dye...........????

you should go back to the hairdressers, and ask them to sort it out.

Hair dye...........????

If this was professional, this should have not happened.

Sounds like you should return to the beauty shop and ask for suggestions or help. They should at least give you another free dye job.

I know when I use to get a perm I would have to wait 48 to 72 hours before I could wash my hair, but I didn't have to do that when colored.

Hair dye...........????

i would go back and give them a mouth full dye should not come out like that call them they will redo it

Hair dye...........????

of course the kind of dye u used!! but also u should be aware of what kind of shampoo u used...and about the dyeing go and sue the place or clear any misunderstandings.. and honestly even though the shampoo wasnt dye proof u shouold still get ur money back..well best of luck!~

Hair dye...........????

Nothing happened.Well it was the same color as your hair should be right?

Hair dye...........????

if you follow the instruction carefully, it should happen. if only some came out, thats natural.

if not, scammed1

Hair dye...........????

you need to find out type of dye used. was it off the scalp? just rinse? may not have been left in long enough? ask the person who did it. was it permanent color or a rinse?

Hair dye...........????

Good grief! Call the salon immediately and let them know. Prof. hair dyeing is not cheap and they should stand behind it and redye your hair. I was watching someone dye on tv and the guy said this one gal had dyed so much he had to vigorously rub the dye into the hair. Maybe they need to 'strip' it first? Good luck and I hope they don't make you repay and if they refuse compensation of some sort, you may have to report them to your local Better Business Bureau.

Hair dye...........????

call them!

they should refund it and u should get all your money back and go and get it dyed somewere else

Can you use tinfoil when you dye your hair with "L'oreal Paris" Hair dye?

Im using this hair dye to streak my hair, not fully color it. The dye i got is not intended or advertised for doing streaks. I want to know if you can use tinfoil with this dye. Ive heared that alot of dyes cant come in contact with metal. Ive read the box and the paper and it doesnt say anything about not using foil. Has any one had any experience with this, or are there any beauticians out there.

Can you use tinfoil when you dye your hair with "L'oreal Paris" Hair dye?

you can, but make sure the streaks are very, very thin. also, put in very few at first... gradually add in more.. this way you can't go wrong.

Can you use tinfoil when you dye your hair with "L'oreal Paris" Hair dye?
